FSI LAUNCHES E-DESK RESEARCH |
| GLEN ROCK, N.J., February 24, 2005 – Financial Services, Inc., a leading provider of data processing, item processing and Internet services to financial institutions nationwide, has announced that its new E-Desk Research service will supersede its Remote Research offering, which is being retired. E-Desk Research is a browser-based item processing investigation interface that offers many distinct advantages over the old system, according to Kevin Courtney, Senior Vice President and Director of FSI’s Item Processing Division. “It eliminates the need to load and maintain software,” he said, ‘which makes it accessible throughout the entire network.” He noted its further extensibility by stating, “E-Desk is also available through the Internet, and we secure all information flows with digital certificates and encryption.” The application itself offers some attractive features. Each bank can manage its own users and passwords without intervention from FSI. Roles can be defined that restrict functions to that role, with each user assigned a specific role. For example, one role can allow its users to only view data and check images, while another role could also allow for the editing of check numbers and account numbers. The first role could be used for branch personnel, while the second reserved for certain back-office staff. E-Desk also features full audit trail reporting, plus other summary reports. Most reports can be customized and access-controlled. ABOUT FINANCIAL SERVICES, INC. |
