SELECT BANK IMPLEMENTS REMOTE CAPTURE |
| GLEN ROCK, N.J., January 3, 2006 --FSI announced today that Select Bank became the first FSI client to combine the power of image exchange and remote capture when it went live this October. Select converted all three branches simultaneously. Each branch scans batches of transit checks and internal MICR documents throughout the course of the day and transmits the data and images to FSI. FSI reads the amount fields using character amount read (CAR) technologies, balances the files, transmits an electronic image cash letter to the Federal Reserve, then updates the items into the E-Desk archive. The bank believes the remote capture system will pay for itself very quickly through the elimination of courier routes, reductions in service fees from FSI, reductions in costs from the Federal Reserve, and increased availability.
