| GLEN ROCK, N.J. September 15, 2005 -- Financial Services, Inc., today announced the release of version 5.0 of its BankNet interface product Spectrum. Spectrum 5.0 contains numerous enhancements. Among the most significant enhancements are the following: Customer Imaging With Spectrum 5.0, clients using both Spectrum and Super CIF will be able to convert to FSI’s Customer Imaging system. Through Customer Imaging, users will be able to capture and electronically store types of customer identification that before now could only be photocopied. In addition to signatures, the types of identification users will now be able to scan and store include: Driver’s Licenses Passports Photographs Alien Registration Cards Utilizing the relational data model of FSI’s Super CIF, Customer Imaging will store the form or forms of identification collected at the customer level, rather than the account level. This means that users only need to gather identification for a customer once; the identification will automatically link to any accounts opened for the customer in the future. Those users who convert from FSI’s current signature system to Customer Imaging will not have to re-scan their current signatures. FSI will convert the current signatures to Customer Imaging’s format. Security Reports Spectrum security administrators will now be able to produce security reports on both a user and a group level. The user report will list all users’ names, their Spectrum security IDs, and the Spectrum security group or groups to which they belong. The group report will list each group’s teller security level, BankView rights, rights to use Spectrum applications, and the Spectrum users belonging to the group. Branch Administrator Security Level In Spectrum 5.0, Spectrum security administrators will be able to create Branch Administration users. Branch Administrator users can add, modify, delete, and view security for the branch to which he/she is assigned. Auto Floater Feature FSI has created an “auto-floater” feature as an alternative to the current “floater” function in security. With the “auto-floater” option turned on in System Options, users who work at multiple branches need not be designated as “floaters” in their security records (and thus downloaded to all branches) to sign on at a branch other than their own. This speeds up the download of changes in security to a branch because only users from that branch, plus the Spectrum security administrators, will be downloaded. With auto-floater, if a user from one branch tries to sign on to another branch, Spectrum will go directly to the Spectrum Security server rather than the branch security file to authenticate the user. EJ Reports In Spectrum 5.0, users will be able to create a printed report that displays selected fields from an EJ list, whether it is the list that comes up by default when EJ is selected, or it is a list created through an EJ search. Searching Archived EJ’s Users will be able to search for a transaction or transactions from an archived EJ by simply typing the date of those transactions in the “Date Range” section of the EJ “Search” tab. (In the current version of Spectrum, users have to click “Read Different EJ” and then select the date range within where the transactions fall.) Improvements in EJ Handling FSI placed the Electronic Journal databases in a separate folder called EJ, underneath the Spectrum Server folder. This separation allows network administrators to view and handle them more easily for backup and archiving. FSI now archives EJ’s based on days, rather than months. This allows Spectrum to archive EJ’s more frequently if EJ database corruption has been a problem. (Note: Users can still choose to archive every certain number of months; e.g: 90 days equals 3 months.) Spectrum compacts and repairs the EJ database every morning when the first user logs on. Spectrum 5.0 creates a backup version of the Electronic Journal every morning and has a menu option on the Spectrum desktop to load it in case of a problem. In such instances, this will minimize loss of EJ data. Re-Entry of Timed-Out Transactions The procedures for re-entering timed out transactions has been enhanced. When users choose to re-enter timed-out transactions, Spectrum will now bring up one transaction at a time. Users will be able to go into CRT (by pressing the CTRL-F6 combination) and check CRT history. If the timed-out transaction has updated the host already, users will be able to choose not to re-enter it by marking it as “complete.” This procedure will continue until all timed-out transactions have processed. Tax Identification Number FSI added a Tax Identification Number (TIN) field to 16 miscellaneous transactions and their corrections. ABOUT FINANCIAL SERVICES, INC.
